Our policies regarding cancellations, rescheduling, and refunds

1. Introduction
At My Igbo Tutor, we strive to provide high-quality language instruction and excellent customer service. We understand that plans can change, and this Refund Policy outlines our guidelines for cancellations, rescheduling, and refunds.
2. Payment for Classes
All classes must be paid for at the time of booking. We accept payment via credit/debit cards through our secure payment processor. Your booking is not confirmed until payment is received.
3. Cancellation and Rescheduling Policy
3.1 Cancellation by Students
Our cancellation policy is as follows:
- More than 24 hours notice: Full refund or option to reschedule at no additional cost.
- Between 24 hours and 2 hours notice: 50% refund or option to reschedule with a 25% rescheduling fee.
- Less than 2 hours notice or no-show: No refund provided.

3.2 Cancellation by Mum & Daughter Igbo Classes
In the rare event that we need to cancel a class due to teacher illness, technical issues, or other unforeseen circumstances:
- We will notify you as soon as possible via email and/or phone.
- You will be offered the option to reschedule the class at a mutually convenient time or receive a full refund.
- If the cancellation is due to our technical issues, we may offer an additional complimentary class as compensation for the inconvenience.
4. Refund Process
When a refund is approved:
- Refunds will be processed using the same payment method used for the original purchase.
- Full refunds will be processed within 5-7 business days, depending on your payment provider.
- Partial refunds (50%) will be processed within 5-7 business days.
Please note that your bank or credit card company may have additional processing time before the refund appears in your account.
5. Class Packages and Subscriptions
5.1 Class Packages
If you purchase a package of multiple classes:
- Individual classes within the package are subject to the same cancellation policy as single classes.
- Unused classes in a package are non-refundable after 90 days from the purchase date.
- If you wish to cancel the entire package before using any classes, a 10% administrative fee will be deducted from the refund amount.
5.2 Subscriptions
For subscription-based services:
- You may cancel your subscription at any time.
- Cancellations will take effect at the end of the current billing period.
- No partial refunds are provided for unused portions of the current billing period.
- If you cancel within the first 7 days of a new subscription, you may be eligible for a full refund.
6. Technical Issues
If technical issues prevent you from participating in a class:
- Issues on our end: We will offer to reschedule the class at no additional cost or provide a full refund.
- Issues on your end: We will make reasonable efforts to assist you, but if the class cannot proceed, our standard cancellation policy applies.
We recommend testing your equipment and internet connection before your scheduled class time.
7. Dissatisfaction with Services
If you are dissatisfied with the quality of our services:
- Please contact us within 24 hours after the class to discuss your concerns.
- We may offer a partial or full refund, or a complimentary class, depending on the circumstances.
- Refunds for dissatisfaction are evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
8. Special Circumstances
We understand that emergencies and special circumstances can arise. In cases of serious illness, family emergency, or other exceptional situations, please contact us as soon as possible. We will work with you to find a reasonable solution, which may include waiving cancellation fees or offering extended rescheduling options.
9. Changes to This Policy
We reserve the right to modify this Refund Policy at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to our website. Your continued use of our services after any modifications indicates your acceptance of the updated policy.
